Welcome to Cooperscroft Care Home
Situated in Potters Bar, our brand new Care Home, which opened its doors very recently, combines the warm and friendly atmosphere our former Cooperscroft Care Home was so well known for, and brings it to our new state-of-the-art home. The new home offers residential and nursing care for the elderly, just as the original home did, however we are now extending our care packages to offer dementia and palliative care.
What’s it like?
The new home is split over four floors, with the back of house areas mainly on the lower ground floor. Unlike our other care homes, many of the residents at Cooperscroft have less care needs, which means that this aspect, combined with an active relatives and Friends of Cooperscroft support group, means that Cooperscroft has a uniquely appealing and friendly atmosphere. This has helped to maintain good occupancy levels and fee rates in the home, despite the age of the care facility. The new care home is situated to the south of the original home.
The new home boasts a wealth of facilities, in an environment that enables staff to be able to deliver first class care to our residents. The new facility offers an on-site hairdressing and beauty treatment room, and a large communal café for residents, family and friends. There are central nurse stations, resident lounges and dining rooms on all floors. The dining rooms each have a lifestyle kitchen. All of the bedrooms have full ensuite wetrooms, solid oak furniture, and nursecall systems. Premium rooms have spectacular views across the beautiful surrounding countryside. Our full time activities co-ordinator organises daily activities for the residents in the fully equipped, purpose made activities roon, as well as planning outings and showing films in our new state of the art cinema.
The home sits a few minutes away from the heart of Potters Bar High Street, with its range of shops, services and facilities. The surrounding streets are predominantly residential, with some greenbelt land providing a lovely countryside feel. Potters Bar is also within easy reach of the M25.
